| Ride for the River was inaugurated in 2012 to rally continued support for local communities and businesses along the path of local flooding caused by Tropical Storm Irene. The devastation of Tropical Storm Irene of August 2011 is still evident in the watershed communities and ecosystems along the River. The proceeds from last year’s ride directly funded the Ausable River Association’s work with local municipalities, businesses, and residents to build community and ecological resilience in the face of future flood events. This year’s proceeds will support this ongoing effort.
Your Ride for the River registration fee and/or any additional donation you offer is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
We would love to see many of our members and friends participate in this event and happy to meet new folks who want to enjoy all this valley has to offer by bike!
Registration Fee Structure:
$45 – Mid-length or longer route (Braided Eight or Ausable Eddy), the picnic, and a t-shirt
$35 – Mid-length or longer route (Braided Eight or Ausable Eddy) with no picnic and no t-shirt*
$25 – Shorter route (Carol’s Meander) and the picnic*
$25 – Any route for youth ages 13-17 and the picnic; must be accompanied by an adult*
$10 – Picnic for anyone 13 and over on the day of the Ride; $5 for 12 and under
* T-shirts will also be available for sale at the Ride
Ride registration is free of charge for:
- Children 12 years of age and under with adult on Carol’s Meander
- Gold and Platinum Business sponsors
- Volunteers who help with a registration table, the picnic, or by driving a vehicle along the route to support riders, and who have signed up in advance to help!

Note: Each rider needs to complete a Registration Form. However, you can pay for more than one rider in each transaction. Simply indicate who you’re paying for on the Registration form.
