An Event to Benefit AsRA

riders + river

Join the Ausable River Association (AsRA) for the 4th Annual Ride for the River event on Sunday, August 2nd. The event will be held at the Hungry Trout Resort in the Town of Wilmington along the West Branch of the Ausable River.

Exciting editions to this year’s event is an expanded after party, open to the public. The Back Porch Society will be playing from 12pm to 3pm and local beer from Great Adirondack Brewing Company will be on tap. Also, mountain biking routes will be included this year, including the “Poor Man’s Downhill.” Whether you are a rider or not make sure to show your support of the beautiful Ausable River by attending this great community event.

This fun family friendly event is a celebration of the Ausable River and the communities surrounding it. The event was first held in 2012 to celebrate the resilience of local communities following the devastating flooding during Tropical Storm Irene. The funds raised from the event were used to support AsRA’s stream restoration projects. The 2015 Ride will continue to celebrate the local communities and river while raising funds to restore damaged portions of the river.
